Apparently it's a known bug to Nokia in the E-series, and they said that this will be fixed for future devices sold. The bug is Nokia's, not Yamigo's. But us, who already bought the E61 device with the April 19th 2006 Firmware in it (and the other E-series users who got their early units), we will NEVER get YamiGo to work. Nokia doesn't offer updates to existing customers.

Hi,
I`n dont know, if it an yamigo or nokia bug. I see on network level, that a connection to chatnu and smartvas works and i get an XML error from Yamigo. I also known, that in the developer notes of nokia for chat as example for the IMPS Server i can read, that Nokia developr use Yamigo as configuration example. I´m surprised, that the dont find out, that chat dont work with yamigo. On the other hand since month, i dont see any response from the yamigo support.
If there is a bug in the Nokia E61 and you have something "offical" about that, then please post it in this forum as original.
"Instant messing" is a feature, that nokia publish as main feature. If it dont work and Nokia know it, than i can send the E61 back to Nokia to get a new version, if there have. If there dont want to publish a new firmware, than the have change the hardware. The european product warrenty, give Nokia no chance: They have to fix it.

Ok...first...Eugenia...nokia offers updated firmware for their phones...only that you have to go to an authorized service to update it...that's the easy way...but my guess is that this is somehow yamigo's fault...a service which is after all free...
Second...S60 3rd edition software started to come out and you already can find 2 messengers which works with all the usual services...yahoo, msn, aim, gtalk etc...
That's Agile messenger(beta version for symbian9.1) and IM+. Google them...
Agile you can download for free from thei website for the time being...
